With the increase in sales of the X-431 scan tool worldwide, recently, we have found companies dealing in pirated/illegal versions. These companies are selling X-431 illegally and without Launch Tech Co Ltd authorization. Furthermore, since the structure and configuration of some units have been altered greatly during the piracy/registration process, these units will not and cannot, be updated and serviced by authorized Launch branches and dealers. Future software updates or warranty services may be null and void. Just as important, there have been cases where these units have caused irreparable damage to the vehicle being tested. We kindly advise all dealers and consumers: Please DO NOT purchase pirated/illegal X431 from these companies & websites (see preliminary list below). You will find that the cost savings up front will soon be overshadowed by the added costs you will incur by having to reconfigure, update, repairing or even not using these units. Additionally, we welcome dealers and consumers to report those companies and traders who are suspected of selling these pirated/illegal units. Launch Tech Co Ltd reserves all rights to legal action and will enforce these rights to the strictest code of the law. In March 2010, Launch Polska bought one unit distributed by Firma Handlowo Uslugowa, KS Elektronika w —— a so-called X-431 Master unit, suspected to be an X-431 GX3 unit. X-431 GX3 unit is the variant sold only in China mainland and Malaysia, and all the units sold in other area are considered as being illegal.

After 2007, we shared the second time successfully in the COLER technika from Oct. 23.-25 2009 which will be arranged every two years. The fair were joined by about 15.000 professional trade visitors and it was a big show, International famous artists had shown their perfect and dangerous art, as well as Stefanie Neu a famous radio moderator from WDR 2 was in charge to moderate the evening. After the show of the artists they started with the award show. The award was divided in two groups, the award for the product and the award for the service. There were more than 25 announcements for the service award, including Bosch, Texa, Gutman and Actia etc. The Jury was composed of: 5 garage owners (3 of them Bosch special garages) 1 member was from the TÜV and one was from the Coler management. Finally, Launch X431 Diagun win the COLER Innovation Award 2009 in front of an audience of app. 1.000 people, the complete professional press from ASP, AMZ, kfz-betrieb, Freie, Werkstatt and the TV of WDR.

X431 Master is the latest model of Launch X-431 series diagnostic tool. It has been sold world wide for decade, X-431 series won a high reputation for its wide range of vehicles and full functions of its software. Based on the X-431, the Master gets a new structure and better design; also the hardware is upgraded. X431 Master will be released to the world wide market on 1st September, 2009. Inheriting from x-431 series, the X431 Master gets the open operating system (the highest level of automotive diagnostic technology in the world) function of read DTCs, read DataStream, actuation test, sensor waveform display and ECU coding as well as the PDA functions.
